Ventilation Ductwork Cleaning

The most important reason for regular ventilation disinfection is to ensure the air produced is of a very high quality to those in its environment.

Ventilation Systems

There are two main parts to a ventilation system, fresh air supply and an exhaust system.

In a workplace, ventilation is used to remove contaminations for the air such as fumes, dusts, and vapours.

The purpose of a ventilation system is to:

1. Provide a continuous supply of fresh outside air

2. Maintain temperature and humidity at a comfortable level

3. Reduce potential fire and explosion hazards

4. Remove or dilute airborne contaminants.

Why Its Important to Clean your ventilation

The most important reason for regular ventilation disinfection is to ensure the air produced is of a very high quality to those in its environment.

A neglected ventilation system can easily create problems. E.g. dirty filters, dust build up, pest infiltration, sitting water (moisture). These are all factors that can cause a system to be ineffective and unhealthy.

A detailed condition survey of the ventilation system by obtaining dust and microbiological growth samples within mains and secondary branches, as well as photographic evidence of the condition of the ductwork, internally and externally. Entry points may be required in the form of access panels which reflect the specification of BESA TR19, EN15780 and BESA DW/144. All technicians are fully qualified to install access panels whilst understanding the importance of creating as little disruption as possible. Our evidence is compiled in a short report before the work is undertaken which also explains our methods of controlling the contamination and how we disinfect the system.

Once the work has been completed, any advisories which could not be overcome will be clearly highlighted to the client which will require immediate attention, with visual evidence of the disinfected ductwork and UKAS accredited reports showing evidence of the new air quality.
